Famous Fast Food Logo Design Brands

Fast food restaurants are always the best option if you want a meal that fits your stomach and your budget. It is also a market that has been mostly franchised through out the world representing the big brands in it's field. This is where the "Big Fast Food Chains" makes profit out of their strong branding success mixed with the delicious meals that they offer.

According to Wikipedia, Fast Food business originated from the United States where the first Fast Food Restaurant A&W opened in the year 1916. Since then more fast food chains was introduced in the market creating multinational corporations through successful branding. Here's a collection of famous fast food logo design brands that created a strong identity all through out the world.

1. Mc Donald's


The famous Golden Arches in McDonalds logo represent style, significance and a strong corporate identity. It was created by Jim Schindler in 1962 and the idea was first introduced by Dick and Mac McDonald as arch shaped signs on the sides of their then ‘walk-up hamburger stand’. Source



2. Burger King 


In 1969, Burger King established its famous Burger King “bun halves” logo that lasted till early 1990s. It was created to signify the eatery’s association with hamburgers. Source  



3. Kentucky Fried Chicken or KFC


KFC has maintained a remarkably consistent brand identity over the past 50 years, putting all its efforts into Colonel Sanders’ image and has only manipulated its depiction five times in five decades — always maintaining the defining elements while adapting to the unavoidable visual shifts of the fast food industry. Source



4. Taco Bell


The first franchise logo resembled someone asleep wearing a sombrero. PepsiCo bought Taco Bell in 1978 and immediately replaced the logo with a simpler and less controversial bell symbol. Source 



5. Pizza Hut





Pizza Hut is a subsidiary of YUM! Brands, Inc., the world's largest restaurant company. According to its corporate website, there are more than 6,000 Pizza Hut restaurants in the United States, and more than 5,600 store locations in 94 other countries and territories around the world. Source 



6. Subway 



Subway uses the advertising slogan "Eat Fresh" to explain how every sandwich is made from freshly baked bread, using fresh ingredients, in front of the customer to their exact specification, by employees whom Subway terms "Subway Sandwich Artists". Source



7.  Wendy's




The idea for Wendy's "old fashioned" hamburgers was actually inspired by Dave Thomas's trips to Kewpee Hamburgers in his home town of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Source
